Quote 3

"The cause of antisocial personality disorder, or ASP, is unknown. Like many mental health issues, evidence points to inherited traits. But dysfunctional family life also increases the likelihood of ASP. So although ASP may have a hereditary basis, environmental factors contribute to its development."
-Donald Black, MD

This quote pretty much explains itself. As much as people want to prove that ASP is either inherited or progressive, there is no way researchers can figure it out based on technology today. They can pick out clues such as cruel childhoods or mothers smoking while pregnant, which can cause ASP in the baby.
